Do you want to engage your students in authentic research and problem solving? Does the phrase “science fair” conjure up images of solar system models and baking soda-and-vinegar volcanoes? This session will give you a whole new way to think about STEM projects. We will go over the basics of the Maine State Science Fair, practice activities to help students select meaningful projects, consider how CS/CT can help them, and explore resources to guide students through the many phases of their projects. This workshop will just scratch the surface of the many ways the MSSF team is here to support you as you support your young scientists and engineers. This is a half day session.
