Books and stories are a great way to introduce Computational Thinking and Computer Science concepts, no screens required! While there are lots of children’s books about computer science and computer scientists, CS/CT concepts can be found in all sorts of children’s literature. In this session, participants will learn about basic CS and CT concepts and tips on how to identify them in children’s stories. Participants will sample a variety of books and collaborate with colleagues to develop lessons and activities they can bring back to their classrooms… oh, and maybe a couple of book requests for the beginning of the year wish list too!
